Yesterday, I was expecting to drive to Playa Blanca and then on to Tocumen Airport to pick up my parents.  I was about 3 hours into the trip when I received a call from my father stating they were at the airport in Montreal but they were not going to be on the flight.

My mother had felt weak and breathless, unable to walk and was suspecting heart problems.

They did not take the flight which was wise, seeing they are in their native country, where medical attention would be more comfortable for them.

I was in Santiago Panama when I received the call and had to make the decision to continue or do a 360 to go back home.   Seeing that I had some business to attend to at the condo, I forged on.  I had paintings to hang in both condos and I wanted to make sure that they were both clean and ready for new tenants.

I arrived at Playa Blanca around 4 pm and found some friends waiting around the pool.  I could see much progress on the large lake / pool and it looked ready to open.  I learned also, that the terrible dump near the resort area, was being moved this month !  Yay.  How wonderful.  This should have been relocated or destroyed long ago and having it in the area, has been a huge deterrent for many.  Everyone is please to hear this good news.

I left Playa Blanca this morning after 10 am to return to Boquete and the drive was uneventful.  I have come to learn the time lines and landmarks.  I have also managed to avoid every speed trap as I know where it is safe to put the pedal to the medal and where it is not.

Home, safe and sound, but not ready to rest.  I am back into a busy schedule of theatre, acting classes, and horses !
